Menart Fair, international modern and contemporary art fair founded in 2021 by Laure d’Hauteville, is dedicated to highlighting artists from the Levant, the Arabian Gulf and North Africa through a rigorous selection of leading galleries.
Since its launch, Menart Fair has acted as a catalyst for a burgeoning art scene, whose dense and solid output is supported by a number of renowned museums and institutions.
For its 5th edition, to be held from 20 to 22 September 2024 in the heart of the Marais district in Paris, Menart Fair will focus exclusively on the women’s art scene in MENA (Middle East, North Africa), examining the legacy of pioneering female artists and highlighting contemporary and emerging female creators.
This 100% all-female event goes far beyond the question of ‘gender’ to raise visitors’ awareness of the richness and importance of this artistic scene in the Arab-Persian regions, which is often overlooked in the West. The event will host around thirty galleries, including some with a focus on design. Four renowned curators have been appointed for each region represented.
The Galerie Joseph Saint Merri, a vast space in the Marais district formerly home to the Musée Pierre Cardin, will be the setting for this new edition.
The programme will include panel discussions, encounters, a video programme and the participation of MENA museums and institutions to enhance this unique artistic experience.
