The Feminine Gaze: Redefining Art |

Women
artists question cultural memory and its production structures,
transnational artistic exchanges, and the status of women in
patriarchal societies. Some of them, already established on the
international scene, express through the singularity of their
approaches the ability to self-create, undergo metamorphosis, and
escape social or gender constraints. They also demonstrate how art is a
projection towards the universal, transcending individual or collective
neuroses. It is to the universality of artistic language that the
feminine imagination summons us. Veiled and unveiled, it expresses
itself in new artistic forms that make every truth visible. |
